I completed this drawing using colored pencils. The objects have no specific meaning, they’re just random objects we chose out of the classroom. It was difficult for me to color this because I didn’t know how to blend that well. It was hard to show all the values because you have to use different shades of the same color. I think the leaves on the stem came out the best because I spent the most time on them. I like the shovel the least because i didn’t have enough time to color all the texture correctly and it looks too smooth unlike the actual object.

Cast Shadow Project
This is my first major drawing for this class this year. I used regular drawing pencils to complete it. I chose to draw this because its something i always carry with me inside my purse and since its not all that small i decided to make it go off the page a little bit. I think it should be darker, with more value and the shadow on the object larger. But for the first drawing I’ve done in a long time I think it’s good.

My name is Sandra Figueroa, I’m a Junior and an ad design student. I most admire interior design artwork, and landscaping. I like how they make living spaces more functional in a way that they would like to be in. I like to draw, but I am not very good at it which is why i decided to take this class, so i could learn to draw and that it could help me for ad design projects or any other helpful ways.
